Adding the fact it won't let you install any of the other top navigation programs is poor. I would also say as Primo doesn't run with all the features (no TTS or on line traffic) its not what it should be. I know the Navall 3 is supposed to do a lot more than just Satnav but I would say I mainly bought it for that feature.

I have spent three days this week messing with this unit if I can't sort it by the end of today I will put my WinCE unit back in and wait until there is an update for the Navall 3.

I think Sean has to rely on the factory for software issues so I don't think there will be a quick fix but don't quote me on that. You would of thought it could of been released with an earlier version that was more compatible with existing apps. I suspect the problem is with the operating system and implementation. Totally agree, having a unit with the promise of being able to load apps, only to find that most cannot load due to something is disappointing especially after how much it cost.įirstly Sean & Jeff are good guys but something has clearly gone wrong with the Navall 3. If this can't be done we need the unit capable of installing newer Satnav software. If this app is too old then we need a solution to get TTS working. Yes this is an old app but I am told it is required to get the TTS voices working in Igo Primo. So as you can see most apps do NOT install. In my search for a Satnav program I have tried and failed to install the following:. If Google play says the app is incompatible it won't let you install it and there is not a lot you can do about that. When will this unit be available? As the one I have got isn't. Having a Unit that updates and adds apps and that you can personalize is different than a fixed in place Wince unit.

Yes I am new to Android but I write software for a living so know a bit about computers.
I have disabled the screen-saver but it still keeps appearing. Igo Primo keeps going to screen-saver so you cant see the map you have to keep pressing the screen to bring the map back up. I don't want a unit I have to retune before every journey. The unit won't keep the stored radio stations overnight it did yesterday but they have gone again today. Another feature which attracted me was on-line traffic but of-course that doesn't work either. I now have no TTS voices and no way of fixing it.
I wrongly assumed it would give me everything the WinCE version did and more. As the Navall 3 came with Primo installed I went for that.

So I thought it was time to upgrade to something newer with more memory. The only problem I had with the WinCE unit was it would crash when a phone call came in (out of memory). Yes I am frustrated and am very close to taking this unit out and refitting my WinCE unit. But I want to tweak a few things, As I stated, Will be this week It should resolve your issues, We have tried it and so far so good. You will need to apply the Update, which will be soon I saw that you are frustrated with the Navall 3 in another thread, is there something else ? Having a Unit that updates and adds apps and that you can personalize is different than a fixed in place Wince unit. But will soon if we cannot get it resolved. I am working with Tony the last few days and I have not involved the factory as of yet. Unrated apps may potentially contain content appropriate for mature audiences only. Warning – content has not yet been rated. I have a Navall 1 in my car and I will try it to see if it installs (when the car comes back ) And if you look at their website, Most postings are 20, It seems to work on Older Android versions which would suggest to me that they have not updated it in a while and last update on Play that I see was 2012, Not exactly new. The result I received may well explain it as It also could not install there and if you look at their reviews there seems to be alot of people having issues with newer devices.Īs Most apps are installing and working well, I would have to conclude that, as Dave and others have said, there is either a problem with the APP compatibility to KitKat and Jelly Bean or a problem with Play. Just after I made that Post, i had an Idea, I tried to install SVOX on anOther Android head unit here on my desk.
